Pleasant surprise - down to 198.0. I know I shouldn't be weighing myself everyday, but this fat fast diet is very effective at getting consistent results.

Weight 198.8. Not bad for the weekend! I'm now walking 2-3 miles a day.

Next Day

Weight 199.4. Entering the treacherous weekend. I hope to at least maintain and perhaps lower this weight. Still not eating much - basically olive oil during the day and a chop at night. Still not terribly hungry. Ketostix indicate I'm in ketosis.

Weekend passed and I didn't gain anything - still at 201.4! This is good, because I had salty food (fatty salami) as by fat intake. Never again.

Day 3

Weight 202.2 - Ketosis starting to kick in. The nice thing about Atkins is you know when you are in the Atkins Zone. When the Ketosis starts, your hunger level goes down. So today I have had a lettuce salad with about 1 Tbl of Olive Oil - no hunger through the day. Night time meal will be a small pork chop.

Second Day

Weighed in at 205.2. I feel a bit spacey (same thing happened with the last Atkins diet I was on). It normally passes after the first week.

First Diet Day

Having successful experience losing weight on Atkins, I'm off to try it again (I'm not so good on maintenance). Being male and 60 makes this more challenging, so I'm starting off with the fat fast.

Day 1: Weight 204.8. Just fat for the day - I actually like to eat Olive Oil straight. So 5 meals at about 1.5 TBL/meal is about 1000 calories. Drinking plenty of water and using Psyllium husk for avoiding constipation. Comments and support welcome. Looking to loose at least 35 pounds.
